What
great news we have! zeroUV has done its very first fashion blogger interview!
To start off, we have chosen to interview one of our most favorite blogs:
Nany’s Klozet, which is coordinated by Daniela Ramirez. Daniela is a gorgeous
and creative blogger from the country of Venezuela, but is currently living in
Miami, Florida. Her blog consists of the many chic looks she has assembled,
which are cherished and adored by fans and followers all around the globe.
Why
have we chosen to interview Nany’s Klozet? We have been working with Daniela
for about five months now. After working with her for quite a bit of time, we
have come to admire and see her lively, positive, and bright personality that
shines through her words and photos. Not only is she a sweet heart, but she has
a wonderful sense of style; each look is so lovely, different, and unique! And
we at zeroUV, being a prodigiously cultivated eyewear collection that is
focused on providing fun and style with affordable prices, also respect and
appreciate Daniela’s fashion statement, as stated by herself: “My mission is to
let you know that you do not need millions to look like a million dollars.”
We
valued each and every one of Daniela’s answers, as they represent an honest and
independent mind:
Q: Let's start off with
the popular, most eagerly asked question: When and how did it all begin? What
got you motivated to embark on running a fashion blog?
A: I started in 2009- originally my
blog was fully written in Spanish and I wasn't in any of the pictures. It was
more about tips and fashion advice. Then people started asking me about my
style...and that's how Nany's Klozet was born (and well, the need to write in
English too). What motivated me was a need to share that it's okay to wear
affordable items and to rewear your clothes....fashion is not about labels, it
is about expressing your personality.
Q:The lifestyle of a
fashion blogger comes with great responsibilities such as being admired as an
inspiration or role model to fellow friends and followers around the globe. Do
you have any personal inspirations or fashion bloggers you look up to? If so,
can you name few and why?
A: Of course, I really admire
Alexandra from Lovely Pepa- she was able to step out of the blogger phase and
she also created a great shoe collection. I also admire how the Blonde
Salad has turned herself into a brand- she is definitely a business woman.
Q: Being such a
popular fashion icon in today's world, do you ever feel pressured to dress or
conform to the present trending styles? Do you find it difficult to stay
independent and implement your own individualistic looks? Also, can you please
share what your favorite part of being a fashion blogger is, along with the
biggest challenges you face(d)?
A: Of course,
sometimes you forget about what YOU like and you try to please others. But
again, fashion is about what you enjoy...it's a way of showing how you feel.
Some people might like it...some people won't. My favorite part is the
interaction with my readers; I love talking to them and knowing I have inspired
them to express themselves through clothes. The biggest challenge: being
consistant and staying true to yourself.
Q: Everyone has their own
hobbies and personal interests. Can you please share what other activities you
enjoy outside of fashion blogging and what best interests you?
A: Some of my favorite activities
are: going to the dog park with my puppy, riding my bicycle around town,
walking by the beach, and watching random tv shows.
Q: Here's a fun question
that'll get us to know you better!: What is your favorite color, movie, book,
food/drink, and place to be (if any)?
A:
Favorite color: lavender. While all the little girls liked pink, I was the one
that chose light purple.
Favorite movie: The Notebook- I'm such a
romantic at heart.
Favorite food: my all-time favorite is
sushi. But lately I'm obsessed with Ceviche, Peruvian food.
Favorite drink: I'm always drinking water.
Favorite book: 100 years of solitude.
Favorite place: Paris.
Q: People tend to grow a
liking towards certain accessories and fashion pieces. Whether it be rings,
maxi skirts, heels, or dresses, what is your favorite type of accessory or
clothing piece, and how does it play a role in your glamorous looks?
A: I live in Miami, a city that's
extremely hot and humid. So I tend to go towards light fabrics and short hems.
I love A line mini-skirts...and far as accessories go: I love statement
necklaces.
Q: Each and every one of
your looks have a different touch - fun, classy, casual, sophisticated, simple,
vintage, indie, bohemian, and so much more! If any, what challenges do you face
to be so creative and to come up with such unique looks every time, or does it
just come naturally?
A: Aww thanks. I think it comes
naturally.... it's how I feel. I don't like staying in just category...like I
said: it's just about having fun with fashion.
Q: Lastly, what do you feel
is your biggest accomplishment? And what would you advise to the next
generation of young fashion-seeking bloggers?
A: One of my biggest accomplishments
is being part of the Seventeen Style Council for all 2013. My biggest advise to
new bloggers would be: stay true to yourself and enjoy every second of it.
Always do what you love; and when you enjoy something THAT much, great thinks
will happen.
We
are so glad to be in collaboration with Nany’s Klozet and look forward to the
many future months and years we get to spend together in partnership. This
first interview was very exciting, for we had the wonderful opportunity to get
to know one of the world’s most favored and well-loved fashion bloggers,
Daniela Ramirez of Nany’s Klozet! We will have many more interviews coming up!
Stay tuned!
