Among many notorious Fashion/Beauty Youtubers, Lina aka Linabugz certainly distinguishes herself creatively and artistically. She definitely conveys an individualistic taste and sense of style! Her Youtube channel captivates her success in recent years about beauty, life, and work. If you don’t know who Linabugz is, or if you are a fan just like us, we luckily had the honor to ask her a few questions and get to know her better. Not only that, Lina came by our headquarters last week to visit the zeroUV team and showroom! Check out her V-LOG down below!
I honestly wonder that myself! Makeup was just a hobby, something I enjoyed playing around with but didn’t many resources for it at the time so I just messed with what I had and posted the results! To my surprise, people were actually interested in the process so I figured why not share my progress.
It’s my nickname which was given to me by my boyfriend, Dev, back when we first started dating. It’s kind of a long story but basically, I am terrified of bugs and somehow they always find a way to attack me so now everybody calls me Bugz!
I remembered what it was like before I knew anything about makeup, wanting to doll myself up but not knowing how or where to start. I felt helpless at times like NYE when everyone looked so glam and I just showed up with mascara even though I wanted a beat face *cue tiny violin* but I just wanted those people to have a place to go when they wanted to learn!
Foundation! Ya girl has pimples
I like to cook! I recently transitioned into veganism after being vegetarian for 3 years and I love finding new vegan recipes to whip up. I get to create in a different way while simultaneously filling my stomach. Two of my favorite things!
My mom taught me the basics and I grew from there! YouTube wasn’t a really big source for me at the time so I just looked at pictures of cute girls on Instagram and tried to replicate their makeup using what I had.
I underestimated how much time and dedication it actually requires, that’s for sure but I’m still a little bit of a noob so I wouldn’t say too much has changed!
It’s hard to really be yourself when you’re essentially putting yourself out there to be judged but don’t let it get to you! Use your platform for good, try your hardest to be kind to everyone, including trolls, and don’t get sucked into drama or negativity!
Thank you again to Lina for taking the time to meet with us!
Xoxo,
