Hello loves, and cheers to another wonderful April! This season has to be one of the most exciting times leading up into Summer. Spring sets the tone for a magical period of good vibes, friendships, festivals and creating new memories together!

This month, we finally had the chance to sit down with the amazing Julie Luliana, from the Pink Wish Blog. We have had the honor of working with Julie over the past couple years, and are excited to share some of her favorite things and inspirations. We hope you enjoy!

Q: Let's start off with the popular, most eagerly asked question: When and how did it all begin? What got you motivated to embark on running a fashion blog?

Well, it all started in 2011 when I first discovered so many fashion bloggers and I was fascinated with their outfits. I always loved fashion and people seemed to like my style so, in 2012, I decided to start a blog with one of my best friends. In 2013 I started my own blog and since then, my love for fashion keeps growing and I am always trying to be better.

Q: To get to know you on a more fun and personal level, what is your favorite thing to do outside of fashion blogging? And if you could listen to only one song for the rest of your life, what song would it be?

I am a makeup artist so I love doing makeup and besides that, I love to travel and discover new places.
Wow, that’s a difficult question, I couldn’t possibly choose but it would definitely be an Adele song, I am obsessed with her, I absolute love her!

Q: It’s said that a photo speaks a thousand words. A fashion blogger is largely based on the great photos they provide for their followers, and an important aspect of that is choosing the right photographer. How did you and your photographer meet?

I don’t have a photographer but pictures are the most important aspect of a fashion blog so I am always trying to take the best photos. My photographers are my mum which is great and another fashion blogger that is one of my best friends.

Q: Following up on the previous question, do you and your photographer balance each other out? How is your dynamic when shooting?

When I shoot with my mum, everything is so easy, I feel really comfortable around her and she does exactly what I said and when I shoot with my blogger friend it’s also easy because we both know how to shoot an outfit.

Q: Pink Wish is definitely cute and catchy! What is the meaning behind your blogger name Pink Wish?

Thank you so much! I really like my blog’s name and I am so happy that people like it too! Pink is my favorite color and the blog was one of my biggest dream so Pink Wish seemed to be the perfect description and name of the blog!

Q: Was fashion always a part of your life? Who are your style inspirations and why?

Yes, it was. My mother is not a fashionista but I have always been one. I always had the cutest clothes and I loved mixing them up, always creating new outfits. People used to tell me I have so many clothes and I had a few but I knew how to pair it and it always seemed like so much more than I actually had.
I don’t really look up to a certain person, I like to get inspired by everyone, if I see something I like, I try to put my own signature and create something similar but that will suit my style.

Q: What would you say is your “go to” outfit? And what kind of style do you normally gravitate towards?

My go to outfit is a pair of jeans, a shirt, a pair of white sneakers and a very cute bag. But, if I have the time, I absolutely love wearing a midi skirt, a pair of stilettos and a basic t-shirt. I think my style is a mix of casual, masculine items and cute, feminine ones.

Q: Fashion blogging definitely require a lot of time and dedication. Has it changed your working career direction and way of life?

Yes, it requires a lot of time. It hasn’t changed my way of life as much as I would want to but I am working on that.

Q: Lastly, there are so many up and coming bloggers looking to make their break in the fashion world, what advice would you give the next generation of young fashion-seeking bloggers?

My advice is such a cliche one but I think it’s the best: be yourself and do only what makes you happy!

We wanted to again thank Julia for taking the time to speak with us. We hope you all enjoyed a little inside look at the Pink Wish Blog.

Xoxo,
